This is the WoTB Crew Voice Modding Section, Where i put (almost) all of the crew voices i modded here. and because i am developing (to be precise developed) a new way to pack the sounds, there will be two different download sections, one for the simple installation method section, and another one for the traditional installation method section.
Simple Installation Method Section:
How to install:
- back up the ENTIRE UNMODDED Sfx folder (must be unmodded otherwise you might restore the wrong file when you need it!), to somewhere accessable, just incase if you want to restore when you want uninstall the mod or incase of game update, and also when you want to install the crew voice mods from Traditional installation method section (need to uninstall before installing those mods).
- paste the files into the Sfx directory (data/sfx), replacing ingame_voice.fev and ingame_voice_low.fev
- open game and enjoy the crew voice!
How to Uninstall:
- delete ingame_voice.fev, ingame_voice_low.fev, and a file that starts with “CV_” and ends with “.fsb”. Example: “CV_GuP_Nonna.fsb” (<< varies depending on what sound pack you downloaded.)
- copy the ingame_voice.fev and ingame_voice_low.fev from the backup Sfx folder (That’s why you need a backup)
- you have successfully uninstalled the mod!

How to install:

backup your ingame_voice_xx.fsb, xx is the in game display language that you are using (en = English , cn = Chinese , ja = Japanese)
-
edit the name of the downloaded file if not using English as in-game display language (cn = Chinese, ja = Japanese)
- unzip the file and put the .fsb file into Data/Sfx

The GuP mods still work on PC as of 7.0, but it plays the opposite line that should play (for example, if you penetrate an enemy tank, you’ll get the voice line that plays when you do not penetrate an enemy tank). Does anyone know a way to fix this, or is this just an unfortunate result of the new .dvpl files? Any answers would be appreciated.

u guys just need to rename the crew voice file into ingame_voice_en.fsb, and replace the real one. noneed to change to dvpl and also no need to replace tht ingame voice fev or low fev. keep the original still works. just rename thats it and dnt forget to turn your crew languange voice over in th game so u will use en voice which had been switch to ur choosen voice.

To everyone who’s asking why these CV mods aren’t working, here’s the short answer:
These mods were created before WG implemented a system where all files were compressed into a SmartDLC format called .dvpl, and these mods don’t have the .dvpl extension. You can get around that pretty easily, just delete the original .dvpl version of the modded file you want to mod, but this will probably only work with these more basic mods such as these sound mods.

Because “ru” is for “russia” ingame voice, then replace your original voice with the renamed noona crew voice.

For you who wanted the female germany crew voice to work ONLY in german tanks
Ive tried it and it worked
Follow this steps:
Dont copy paste the ingame_voice.fev and ingame_voice_low.fev from the modded file.
The original ingame_voice from the game will work just well
Check the original Sfx folder on your data and find a file named ingame_voice_de.fsb then make a backup from it (in case you wanted to remove the female germany crew voice)
After you make the backup then delete it from the original Sfx file(not the mod)
Then rename CV_WoT_German_Female.fsb file to ingame_voice_de.fsb and copy to the original Sfx file.
There you have your female germany crew voice.

Hey i followed these instructions and it worked but the Voice Mod broke then. She says random things. For example when i started she didnt say “Lets Go” but “We have deleted the fire” or when i shot an enemy and it was a richochet she said “Penetration” and by the next shot she says “We shot our allie”. i got the new pc gun sounds and jingles crew voice. best mods ever. jingles crew voice is absolutely hilarious! i am having sooo much fun. about that, i would have only one request if possible, can you please amp up a bit the volume of jingles voice and maybe some tuning on the trebble side, add something like a telephone or radio effect to his voice, but not exagerrating, just to evidentiate his voice. most of the time you can’t hear what he is saying because the other effects have greater volume than his voice. i dunno if it is because of my Axon 7 speakers a bit on the bassy side or, i dunno… i would really, really appreciate the effort. thank you so much for the awesome work on the mods!

Just copy and paste everything into sfx, do not change any file names. If the file explorer prompt to replace files, you replace files.

Hey is there any way to make a voice tank specific? Like the Anko has a different voice as opposed to the default voice of all the other tanks. I wanted to put Nonnas voice in my Kv2 but I’m not so sure if it will be on the Kv2 only or ALL of my tanks.

Too bad unfortunately in the current stage setting tank-specific crew voices is not possible. It requires us to obtainnthe source code of the game (which is impossible) and edit it. We can only do what WG gave us. So the only tank now has its own crew voice is Anko.

So if I put Nonnas voice for my tanks it would affect all my other tanks except the Anko? The Anko would keep its own unique crew voice while all my other tanks get Nonnas voice?

Well because i used a different method to create the Nonna crew voice (basically all voices in the Simple Installation method), the crew voice will replace all voice (including the anko voice)

Hi mate, i personally is using the anko team voice. I haven’t encountered any issues when using it. I suggest you to reinstall the mod.
